In the new novel The Hike, a strange event occurs at one of our nation's parks and there's no doubt that the government knows more and are involved more than what they publicize. In the story, a father and daughter duo are caught in the middle of an apocalyptic event with things that just don't add up. They are forced to trek across the midwest to find other survivors only to learn that the government has quarantined an area and is acting on behalf of citizens safety.
